Honrable Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Mr Nitin Gadkari recently announced that a new highway would be built between Delhi and Jaipur. The minister further added that the work on the highway would begin in the 2017 itself and land acquisition for the project would begin soon. Gadkari made the announcement at a function held for laying the foundation stone for improvement work on three junctions of the NH-8, estimated to cost about 1,005 crore.

Delhi-Jaipur Rapid Metro projects gets a nod from Central Government


The state proposal to amend the alignment of a high-speed train link, which was earlier proposed to connect Delhi and Alwar (Rajasthan) Via   Gurgaon, Dharuhera, Bhiwadi, Rewari, Shahjanpur, Neemrana has now been changed to connect Delhi and jaipur Via Gurgaon, Dharuhera,Bhiwadi, Rewari, Sotanala and Behror is expected to see the light of the day.

The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) has constituted a committee to review status of regional rapid transit system (RRTS). The department had earlier mooted a proposal to change the route of the high-speed train and connect Delhi-Behror, excluding Alwar and later extend it to Jaipur, which is a counter magnet city. The Alwar-Delhi rail corridor of 180-km distance was included in the first phase of the RRTS for the National Capital Region (NCR).
A senior town planner present at the meeting said, "Between Alwar and Delhi, rail connectivity is already very good as there are 22 trains, including superfast trains on the route. We have proposed Delhi-Behror as there is no rail network on this route. The board has allowed to carry out the survey of the route, which is a positive sign."

The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Bill, 2015

The Select Committee of Rajya Sabha has granted approval for Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Bill, 2015, though with 20 amendments, aiming to safeguard buyer’s interest and to induce transparency and growth in real estate industry.

Now the Parliament will exercise its prerogative regarding consideration and passing of the bill applicable on the projects in residential and commercial segments. The bill awaiting approval of the Union Cabinet of the Rajya Sabha was introduced so as to safeguard interest of home buyers and to ensure increased flow of the investment to the cash-starved industry.

As reported, the approval of the bill by the Union Cabinet finally brought in after holding rounds of meetings with stakeholders and considering recommendations from the parliament panels.

Key features of real estate bill, 2015:



  • Promoting transparency in realty transactions, safeguarding buyers’ interests and on-time completion of projects.
  • Commercial and residential realty will be regulated under the bill.

10'000 Flats to be Sold by Delhi Development Authority (DDA): Says report

An estimated number of 10,000 DDA flats, most of them are one-bedroom units, will likely to be available in 2016, according to DDA officials. The flats allotted under housing scheme 2014 were returned or surrendered by the allottees, citing that the rooms were too small.

Now the authority plans to turn around the refusal of such sizable scale by putting up the flats for sale around March 2016. Flats yet to be allotted or the surrendered ones will also be put up on sale as per the other schemes.

Over 9000 flats out of the total 25,034 ones sold under the housing scheme 2014 were returned by the allottees. DDA officials said the housing scheme was launched to provide affordable housing to buyers coming from middle class and lower middle class families.

Experts Says: Real Estate Market to witness decent growth in 2016

According to JLL India and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Indian real estate market anticipates growth comeback in the year 2016 because of the expected surge in sales volume of inventory in the next 12 months. More than 70% investors optimistically assume real estate market to have the steady revival in this year, based on the report – Peering Into 2016: Taking Pulse of Investor Preference.

The report concludes investors’ growing interest for Indian real estate market, say nearly 43% people in their feedbacks anticipated growth comeback for realty this year. The report further reveals Mumbai and Bengaluru as top destinations preferred by investors. Commercial office assets and residential properties in mild-segments will draw attention from investors, claimed the report.

“After relatively muted calendar years 2013 and 2014, private equity (PE) investors significantly increased their bets on the Indian real estate sector in 2015. This report examines the motivations and expectations of PE funds that are now actively ramping up their exposure to this sector,” a representative of JLL India said.

The report attributes buyback or refinancing as the potential factor behind numerous exits that happened during the last 12-18 months. A large number of investors who have participated in the survey have confirmed continuance of refinancing theme exceeding 12 months or one year.

If you find that the deviation is done intentionally, you can raise your voice. However, if some changes that have you have noticed due to unavoidable reasons, you cannot do anything, but at least, you can know in advance what you are going to get and make some changes in your plan if you can.
